Paul Bishop is local Redland City Councillor for Division 10 (Birkdale/Thorneside).
He spent time with Emergency Services personnel as they helped to manage public safety and protect public infrastructure that was bordering onto a significant grass fire.
With permission from the Regional Fire Inspector (Rob Boniwell), Cr Bishop observed a successful back-burn operation and interviewed some members of the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service.
